It's warm and beautiful and, just like in the old days, everyone there is impossibly friendly. Laurie put together a great food and beverage package that made it flexible and convenient for our entire group. The staff was friendly and attentive. The rooms were large, comfortable with nicely appointed. The lodge with its knotty pine north woods feeling overlooked beautiful Waubee Lake and was a great place to gather after a long ride. "We have been coming up to the Lakewood area for many, many years and always enjoyed the Waubee Lodge for its ambience and for the excellent service in the restaurant. When we went there in 2007 and saw the new Waubee Lodge and the restaurant we were extemely impressed with the upgrade. The "new" Waubee retains much of what the "old" Waubee was about and, yet, improves upon it with elegance and the "flavor of the Northwoods". "My new husband and I recently were married at Waubee on their front lawn and all I can say is that it was absolutley perfect! We couldn't have asked for a prettier setting. Not only did we get married there, we had the dinner and reception there as well. The dinner was absolutely amazing and everyone raved about how delicious it was. Then the dinner hall was quickly converted to a reception hall and we danced and partied all night long! They didn't make us pull the plug on our reception at midnight like most places, and I know that made our reception one that people will remember. I wouldn't have changed anything about our wedding, and I know that if we had gone anywhere else, our wedding wouldn't have been as great at it was!
